During the colder months the Swallows Nest is transformed into our winter restaurant where we serve traditional South African meals by log fire. Our "Potjie evenings" run throughout the winter months and are perfect for that special celebration. Available for group bookings or staff Christmas parties.
This is how it works:
1. Get at least 20 people in your group. We can accommodate up to 40!
2. Choose a date and time to suit you
3. Choose your variety of pot (beef/ chicken) and or vegetarian
4. Phone or email us to book
5. Bring your own alcoholic/ non alcoholic drinks.
What is included:
Main meal served with cous cous, green salad, fresh bread from The Bake House in Salcombe, South African Chutney. Tea/coffee and brownies for dessert. We provide Devonia water. All our meat is sourced direct from and our local Butchers in Salcombe (Coleman's)

The Swallows Nest is available to hire for parties (excluding weddings). Capacity to seat up to 50 guests, log burner, fairy lights and rustic atmosphere, making it an ideal venue for a more intimate celebration. Please contact us for more details.
